Betty and I really enjoyed the camaraderie at the 4th District Checker Tournament in Livingston, NC this past weekend (2-3 Nov 2007). Checker players that missed the tournament also missed two great free lunches prepared and served by the wives of some of the players. The lunches included a generous portion of baked chicken, cole slaw, and other vegetables, plus a variety of deserts, tea and coffee. The lunches and tournament were at the Gethsemane Baptist Church located at 650 Hill Everhart Road, Livingston, NC.
