The below position occurred on the Microsoft ZONE in a game between G.W. Miller of Missouri and Presley, and was posted on MYCHECKERWORLD on September 4, 2000. This is a very interesting position! GW (White) moved 25-21 , which is a probable loss. 24-20 instead would be a much better move.

The below were my comments on that game.  . FILE NAME: gw-presley WHITE ON: 32, 30, 28, 26, 25, 24, 22, 17, and 13 RED ON: 23, 19, 15, 12, 10, 7, 6, 2, and 1 WHITE TO MOVE

Diagram of Initial Position

White moved 25-21 here? 24-20 is better as it forces 7-11. If 12-16,red loses by 20-11, 7-16, 28-24). Any other move by red, other than 6-9, will allow the 3 for 2 shot(17-14, 10-17, 28-24). If 6-9 instead of 7-11, then 13-6, 2-9, 17-14(not 17-13), 9-18, 20-16 and red is in a probable loss. The position for red after the 7-11 move does not look quite so promising after white sacrifices the two pieces on square 17 and square 13. Now the game looks a little more balanced and maybe favors white.  Recently I have further analyzed the position with the aid of the program "KingsRow" and have given an update to my findings in the following table.
